Below are a couple of things I want to address with you about this year.
***TUTORIALS***
Tutorials are held on the following days in the assigned math teacher's classroom.
Tutorials are from 8:00 - 8:25. Tutorials are a great way to get the extra help sometimes
needed, so please take advantage of them.
Monday - Hoke
Tuesday - Liverman
Thursday - Liverman
Friday - Hoke
***LATE WORK POLICY ***
It is very important for students to complete Math homework and assignments
in a timely manner in order to succeed in Math class. The only way math
concepts can be mastered is through practice, which is why students have
math homework every time Math class meets. Since concepts build on each
other, students must master one concept in order to understand new
concepts. For this reason,
NO LATE WORK WILL BE ACCEPTED. However,
I will drop three (3) daily grades on the last day of each nine weeks.
***ATTENDANCE***
State law requires that a student be in attendance at least 90% of the time that
a class is offered. If a student does not meet the attendance requirement, credit
will be denied. Every 3 tardies that a student accrues to a class will be recorded
as an absence when determining final exemptions and denial of credit. Students who
are more than 10 minutes late to any one class will be considered absent.
