Warm-Up: Tell me what you did on your week off for the Thanksgiving Break?  (3/4 page) 

Assessments/Evidence of Student Mastery/Products: The students will write their warm-up question and answers and then discuss the answers with the class.  Once finished, they will be given instructions on how to complete a picture note activity.  Then the students will begin working on a picture note activity for Wetlands.  The students must draw a picture of what they think a wetlands looks like or what they are for.  This will be done in class the next few days and will be due at the end of class on Wednesday. This will count as a Lab/Quiz grade.

Homework: None for today.

Warm-Up: What do you think of when you hear the word wetlands?  What do you think wetlands mean?  Explain your answers.  (3/4 page) 

Assessments/Evidence of Student Mastery/Products: The students will write their warm-up question and answers and then discuss the answers with the class.  When they are done with their warm-ups, they will continue working on their picture note activity from Monday.  This is a picture of what they think a wetlands looks like or what they are for.  This will be due at the end of class on Wednesday. This will count as a Lab/Quiz grade.

Warm-Up: What does the word leader mean to you?  What do you expect from a leader? Explain your answers. (3/4 page)

Assessments/Evidence of Student Mastery/Products: The students will write their warm-up question and answers and then discuss the answers with the class. When they are done with their warm-ups, they will finish working on their picture note activity from Monday.  This will be due at the end of class today, or they may take it home and finish it tonight and turn it in at the beginning of class on Thursday.  This will count as a Lab/Quiz grade. 

Homework: Finish Wetlands Picture Note Activity if not finished in class.

Warm-Up: How would the location of a wetland determine how well it survives?  Explain your answers. (3/4 page)

Assessments/Evidence of Student Mastery/Products: The students will write their warm-up question and answers and then discuss the answers with the class.  Once the warm-ups are finished and discussed, we will receive a Wetlands Info Sheet.  This sheet has information about wetlands and will be used as a study guide for a Wetlands Quiz next Wednesday, 12/9/09.  These Wetlands Info Sheets will be turned in the day of the quiz for a daily grade.

Warm-Up: What do you think the word caring means?  Explain your answers. (3/4 page) 

Assessments/Evidence of Student Mastery/Products: The students will complete their warm-ups and discuss their answers with the class.  When they are done, we will watch a short video over Wetlands.  This will help the students understand what they are, and what wetlands do for the world.  This will be done for the remainder of class.

Warm-Up: What are some ways people can help preserve coastal wetlands?  Describe your answers. (3/4 page)

Assessments/Evidence of Student Mastery/Products: Once the students have completed and discussed their warm-ups, they will complete the Venn Diagram over Wetlands and Coral Reefs.  This will be done in class.  They will compare both wetlands and corals reefs as well as what they both have in common.  Once finished, this will be turned in for a daily grade.

Homework: Study for Wetlands Quiz on Wednesday, 12/9/09.

Warm-Up: What do wetlands and coral reefs have in common?  Describe your answers.  (3/4 page)

Assessments/Evidence of Student Mastery/Products: The students will write and discuss their warm-ups with the class.  Once finished, they will complete a KWL Chart about Wetlands.  The K stands for what they Know, W stands for what they Want to know, and L stands for what they Learned.  This will be done in class and due at the end of class for a daily grade.

Homework: Study for Wetlands Quiz on Wednesday, 12/9/09.

Assessments/Evidence of Student Mastery/Products: The students will complete and discuss their warm-up answers.  Once finished, they will take a short quiz over Wetlands.  This quiz will be 20 questions, with both multiple choice and true/false questions.

Warm-Up: What do you think of when you hear the word fairness?  Explain your answers. (3/4 page) 

Assessments/Evidence of Student Mastery/Products: Today the students will work on their warm-up and then discuss their answers.  Once finished, we will get our review sheets for the final exams next week.  We will discuss the review sheets and go over them during class.  We will also discuss any information about the final exams.

Warm-Up: What are you looking forward to over the Christmas Break?  What are your plans for the two weeks of vacation?  (3/4 page) 

Assessments/Evidence of Student Mastery/Products: Today the students will work on their warm-up questions and then discuss the answers.  Once we finish that activity, the students will use their review sheets to make some notecards.  These notecards will be turned in on Monday at the end of class for a Lab/Quiz grade.  The students will make 16 cards and will pick the 16 things that are most difficult for them on the review sheet.

Warm-Up: What class will you be taking next semester instead of this class?  Explain why you are taking that class and what you are looking forward to learning in there.  (3/4 page) 

Assessments/Evidence of Student Mastery/Products: After the students do their warm-up and we discuss their answers, we will complete a KWL Chart about this Aquatic Science class.  The students were given this the first few days of class and we told to fill out the K and W part of the chart about Aquatic Science.  They will fill in the L part today and tell me what they learned about this semester.  This will be their final grade in her before the Final Exams.
