Here are a few things I would like to clarify and explain, in case the information didn't make it home.
The Real World FJH
We don't have much time these days to share our successes outside of the classroom or the school building. I would like to encourage students to being in information/pictures about their EXTRAextracurricular activities. We have a special board just for bragging, so bring in your newspaper clippings and family photos. Share your success!!
Advisory
Beginning the second 9 weeks, the advisory evaluation plan which was introduced at Open House will be implemented. You can find an explanation of the plan on the "Advisory" page on this website.
SRA

Extra Credit:
1.. Each week students may bring in a printout of my classwork/homework page for 10 points extra credit toward any quiz. This is unlimited and there is no deadline. Students just need to bring in the printout, put their name on it and turn it in to the tray. I will then apply it to their lowest quiz grade. Again this is unlimited and there is no deadline.
2. Finding our vocabulary root words in books, newspapers, magazines, tv, movies, etc., is worth 5 points extra credit on a quiz grade. Again, unlimited and without deadline
Printed assignments:
If printing an assignment ever presents a problem, please let me know. Students have access to the school library computers and printer before and after school. I will also allow them to go to the library in class if all they need to do is print it out. Also you can attach the document to an email and turn it in that way.
