2009 Volleyball Tryout Information
Thank you for your interest in trying out for the 2009-2010 FJH Volleyball Team!! Here is important information for you and your parents concerning tryouts:
v PHYSICAL MUST BE ON FILE AND CLEARED THROUGH THE HIGH SCHOOL TRAINER BEFORE TRYOUTS!!!
v Clothing Attire
· White t-shirt (can have logos) with last name in 3-inch letters on back of shirt.
· Athletic shorts or black spandex.
· Court shoes or athletic shoes.
· Knee pads (if you have them)
v 7th Grade Times & Locations
· Tuesday, August 25th : Meet in snack bar at 4pm. We will have a mandatory meeting and run the mile for the physical assessment portion of the tryout. Parents pick up at 5:30pm.
· Wednesday, August 26th : Starting today, participants will need to be dropped off at the Friendswood High School Boy’s Gym at 6:10am. Use the stadium parking lot and have girls walk from the track to the gym. We will bus the girls to the junior high to get dressed for the regular day.
v 8th Grade Times & Locations
· Tuesday, August 25th : Meet in snack bar at 4pm. We will have a mandatory meeting and run the mile for the physical assessment portion of the tryout. Parents pick up at 5:30pm.
· Wednesday, August 26th : Starting today, we will bus the participants to the Friendswood High School Boy’s Gym. The bus will leave the junior high at 3:55pm. The girls need to dress quickly and load the bus. Pick up at 6:15pm in the stadium parking lot.
We plan to hold all tryout sessions at the high school. But, as the FJH Girl’s Gym construction gets under way, our practice locations will change. Please be patient and listen for announcements!
