TUESDAY:    	Video / Current Events /  Health
WEDNESDAY:	�DEAR� (Drop Everything And Read)
THURSDAY:	Question of the Day
FRIDAY:		Character Reading

Rules:   I will be reinforcing the Six Pillars of Character that the students learned in elementary and 
intermediate school (trustworthiness, respect, responsiblity, fairness, caring, and citizenship).  All 
rules flow from these six pillars
	1.  Be seated and quiet when the bell rings.  (Responsibility)
	2.  Pay attention in class.  (Respect)
	3.  Stay in your seat and on task until dismissed.  (Trustworthiness, Responsibility)
	4.  Respect classmates and their possessions.  (Respect, Caring)
	5.  Follow standard classroom procedures.  (Citizenship)
Our class will also create a social contract which will incorporate these and other values.  This 
contract will reflect how they wish to be treated and how they will in turn agree to treat others.

Consequences for violation of rules: 
1.  Written Warning
2.  Written Warning
3.  Write Mrs. Uceda an apology letter (50 words / Due next day)
4.  Room Restriction / Parent Notification
5.  Office Referral
***Other consequences may be applied to specific situations.
***Student may be sent immediately to the office for severly disruptive behavior.
***Violation of school policies has its own specific consequences.

Advisory Grade:  There is no grade for Advisory.  However, if a students is marked down 4 times for 
noncompliance (failing to bring materials, particpate, follow rules), he or she will be referred to the 
office for disciplinary actions.

Materials to bring to class:
1.  Organizer
2.  Pen or pencil
3.  Book *(After 1st quarter)
***NO BACKPACKS!!!!
***You may bring your materials for 1st period to Advisory.  You may also bring study materials or 
unfinished homework to complete if necessary.
