RANGERS ADVISORY Teacher: Mrs. Uceda E-mail: duceda@fisdk12.net Web site: TeacherWeb.com/TX/FriendswoodJrHigh/Uceda/ Schedule for Advisory MONDAY: Get Connected (Organizers, Lockers, Binders, Good Things) *TUESDAY: Study Hall WEDNESDAY: “DEAR” (Drop Everything And Read) THURSDAY: College Day *FRIDAY: Study Hall or Free Day Advisory Grade: In Advisory, we will be reinforcing the Six Pillars of Character that students learned in elementary and intermediate school (trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring, and citizenship). The grade in this class will reflect these “six pillars.” Your Advisory grade starts off as a 100. Five points will be deducted from your grade for any of the following: 1. Failing to bring materials (Responsibility) 2. Failure to follow the Classroom Rules (Respect, Fairness, Trustworthiness, Caring) 3. Failure to return Progress Reports / Report Cards on time (Responsibility) 4. Not participating in classroom activities (All 6 Pillars—because activities will incorporate one or more of the character traits) 5. Talking, moving around, being disrespectful during the Pledge and Moment of Silence (Respect, Citizenship) 6. Talking during announcements (Respect) 7. Other Materials to bring to class: 1. Monday: Organizer, Binder, Pen or Pencil, Materials for 1st Period 2. Tuesday: Book to read, Homework, Study Materials, or Pass 3. Wednesday: Book to read 4. Thursday: Pen 5. Friday: Your choice—Book, Homework, Ipod NO BACKPACKS, GYM BAGS, GUM, OR CELL PHONES IN CLASS!!!!
