Hi! My name is Michelle Hastings. This will be my 15th year as an
educator. I got my start at a private school in Hawaii for Dyslexic
children. After 10 years at home to be a mommy I began teaching again in
RRISD. I have taught 9 years in Special Education and 5 years in 2nd
grade. I am thrilled to be at STAR! I earned my degree at the University
of Cincinnati, my home town. I have two boys, Zach (20- Sophomore @ UT) and
Jake (12). My husband John and I spend most of our free time cheering Jake
on at baseball or soccer. I enjoy being outdoors as much as possible.
