Reading for 20 minutes each evening is an ongoing expectation for us. They
can read a book from their book bag or a book they have at home. Please sign
their signature sheet each evening/morning verifying that they have read. On
Tuesday and Thursday they will have math homework. This will come home in
their math homework journal. Sometimes they might have extra math on some
days, this work will be in their purple take-home folder.
I will complete the checked activities, adding up to a total of 15 points.
These will be turned in on Friday before the quiz.
1. Alphabetize the words. (5 points)
2. Divide the words into syllables. (5 points) Ex: upon = up/on
3. Write the words and circle the vowels. (5 points)
4. Write each word in lower-UPPER-lower (5 points) Ex: uPoN
5. Rainbow write the words with 5+ colors. (10 points)
6. Write each word 5 times. (10 points)
7. Type each word 3 times. (10 points)
8. Write each word and a word that rhymes. (10 points)
9. Write a sentence for each word, using the word. (10 points)
10. Write a story using all of your spelling words. (15 points)
