I grew up in Austin and went through the RRISD. I am excited to
have the opportunity to teach in the school district I grew up in at
Gattis. I graduated at Texas A&M in Corpus Christi. I played all kinds of
sports (volleyball, basketball) growing up and got the opportunity to play
for the TAMUCC softball team as one of their pitchers.
After graduating, I moved back home (well a little further north to Round
Rock) to be closer to my family. My sister's family lives in Round Rock, my
brother's family lives in Austin, and my mom and dad now live in
Georgetown.
I got hired on at Gattis soon after. This will be my 8th year at Gattis. I
love changing that number each year because I love that I've had the
wonderful opportunity to be at Gattis for so long but now it's starting to
make me feel a little old too! :)
I love teaching 1st grade, but of course there are other things I love to do
as well. I love playing or watching any sport (especially baseball-Go
Braves!), jogging (running my 1st marathon this year so positive thoughts my
way!) or working out (my stress-relievers), and reading.
We will work together and have positive attitudes to achieve our academic
goals as well as building friendships.
