Your task is to think of 5 math topics that we have discussed in class.
Choose one topic ( your favorite) and provide a descriptive definition,
a visual example and explain how we use the topic in our real life. You
may choose any way to present your project (power point, photo story, poster,
prezi presentation, brochure, book…..) If you plan on
using a computer, it might be useful to invest in a memory stick, so you will
be able to save your project and take it home to work on it. Your
rough draft is due on May 13th and the final project is due
May 20th.
Science Choice Menu Project:

Rube Goldberg Project: (All Done In Class)
Our Last Classroom Science Project…..
For the last two weeks of school, students will be learning about simple
machines. In doing so, the students will get a chance to
create their own Rube Goldberg with materials from home. Students
are asked to bring in materials to create their machine.
You can find a lot of information online, for instance, www.mousetrapcontraptions.com,
to get ideas. Students must complete the following:
1.
Name the task they are trying to accomplish and draw
a sketch of their rube Goldberg. This is due on Tuesday,
May 17.
2.
Include 4 different simple machines in their project.
3.
Bring materials to class on Wednesday, May 18.
4.
Construct their rube Goldberg (in
class) and demonstrate to the class May 23-May 26.
