After-School Keyboard Program with Midi For Kids

Classes will be taught by Gary Halliburton, a long-time Midi for Kids teacher in RRISD. Both classes will begin on September 13th, 2011. Classes fill up fast, so be sure to register now if you are interested.

Students currently enrolled in first, second, or third grade will have the opportunity to enroll in a beginner (or year 2) after-school keyboard class at Great Oaks. Students will experience the piano in a class setting of up to 7 students. Participants will learn piano technique while incorporating MIDI equipment that is funded through student tuition.

There are only two keyboard classes offered at Great Oaks Elementary this year, and each class is filled on a first come first served basis. Classes will meet 30 times this year, for 45 minutes each. If you still have questions about this program, please contact Gary Halliburton by email for more information. To enroll your child, visit www.midiforkids.com

Cost: $65-$70 per month + a one time materials and registration fee

Mr. Halliburton believes that MIDI for Kids is a wonderful opportunity for kids to begin learning an art form which they can carry with them throughout their lives and pass to generations to come.
