Homework

Homework should develop good study habits, foster positive attitudes toward
school, and communicate to parents the learning that has taken place in
school. Homework should also develop a personal sense of responsibility in
students. It may occasionally be used to complete unfinished classwork.

In 3rd grade, students are expected to read a minimum of 15 minutes each
school night for a total of at least 75 minutes a week. Parents are asked to
please initial the Reading Record at the end of each week. Practice spelling
tests are to be taken at home on Thursday nights prior to tests on Friday.
Other homework will be assigned on an as-needed basis.

Your child is responsible for checking their folder daily, completing the
homework, and returning the folder each day.
