(Once you get to the Great Oaks home page, go to "Our teams/3rd Grade/Pruitt/Student Work) -Math: We are continuing to work on Multiplication facts 0-9, division fact families, Problem solving strategies (make a table, work backwards, find a pattern, etc.). We are also studying fractions. -Social Studies: We are beginning a unit of study on City Government and continue to read/discuss current events through Scholastic News. -Reading workshop: We are working on summarization. We are also studying fairy tales, fabels, myths, and legends. A daily focus for us is reading/choosing "just right" books, responding/reflecting to books read, listening to books on tape, reading a variety of genres -Science: We are studying Soil. -Writing: We are working on capitalization and punctuation and have just begun to write myths.
