My name is Sally Ann Van Sandt. I have been married to my husband, Joe, for
twenty four years. We have a son Sam who is 18 years old, and a daughter
Lilly, who is 14 years old. Our family has a Border collie, named Scotty,
and a cat, called Pepsi. We have lived in Hallsville for the past eleven
years. I am originally from Scotland (you might notice a slight accent). I
became an American citizen four years ago.
I began substitute teaching in Hallsville ISD nine years ago, and for two
years I worked with the 3rd grade SAIL program.
This is my third year to have my own classroom, and I am very
excited to be your teacher. I have lots of great ideas for learning, and
firmly believe that learning can be and should be FUN!
I love to read, swim, laugh and eat chocolate. My favorite color is
pink, and I love spending time in the garden planting flowers and helping
plants grow.
I look forward to learning about you, and know this will be another
great year. Together, we will ‘Reach for the Stars.’
