Mrs. Crannie has been teaching at Hildebrandt Intermediate School
since January 4, 1999. Mrs. Crannie's youngest daughter was almost born at
Hildebrandt! Mrs. Crannie's husband's name is Doug and she
has three children, Danielle (19 years old), Joshua (17 years old) and
Chelsea (12 years old). Mrs. Crannie enjoys spending time with her
family and sports (gymnastics, cheeleading, Soccer, Tae Kwon Do, jogging,
and
many more). Mrs. Crannie was born in New York, and moved to Texas in 1986
to compete in gymnastics for Bela Karolyi. Mrs. Crannie graduated from Sam
Houston State University with a Bachelors degree in Geography and Geology in
1997 and Mrs. Crannie graduated in May 2011 from Rice University with a
Masters in Science Teaching in Astronomy and Physics. Mrs. Crannie has a love
of learning and teaching and continues to take classes at Rice University to
keep up with current science and improve her teaching.
The mission for 8th grade science is to successfully cover the
curriculum set forth by the state of Texas and the Klein ISD board of
Directors. Students will use hands on experiences to learn.
Students will complete laboratory investigations. Students will
complete the 8th grade curriculum with a better understanding of
everyday uses of science information. Students will learn that
science is all around them, and that studying science can be FUN!
Students will incorporate technology into everyday learning.
Students will learn better organizational skills, responsibility and
study skills.
