How can I contact teachers?
You may email me at tracy_fregia@roundrockisd.org or call me at 464-5248.
How do I set up a teacher/parent/student conference?
Call me to schedule a conference. Conferences take about 30 minutes.
Please do not just show up and expect to conference.
Will my child have homework in middle school?
Yes, your child will have homework. Check your child's daily agenda
Who can my child to to with a problem?
Councelors are available daily. They may be contacted about concerns,
problems, etc. and they will be happy to schedule a time for students to
come in to visit. Teachers and administrators are also available to all
students.
How can I be a supportive parent, but not be a Rescue Ranger?
As a parent, your role should always be that of a supporter. However, in
that support, parents should help students problem solve as they encounter
problems/issues with friends, teachers, etc. This is a life skill! Facing
the problem/issue together instead of bailing them out or rushing in to save
them is usually the best solution.
Do middle school teachers keep in touch with parents?
Absolutely. I am always willing to visit with parents about any questions,
concerns, etc. that you might have about school, your child, etc. If you
need a quick answer to a questions, email is the most efficient way since we
do not always answer our phones during class time. You may always leave a
message and we'll get back with you.
Is my child responsible for make-up work when he/she is absent?
Yes! All make-up work is expected to be completed in a timely manner.
Students are given 1 day for each day that they are absent to complete the
missing work. Even agendas need to be copied for the days missed. It is
the student's responsibility to take care of make-up work!
When do progress reports and report cards go home?
Progress reports are distributed in the fourth week of the six week period
and report cards are distributed in the first week of the following six week
period. Students are expected to return one copy signed by parent of the
progress report and report card to their advisory teacher.
