Mrs. Sozansky has been teaching at Hopewell MS in Round Rock since
2002. She started her career in Pasadena ISD after graduating from the
University of Houston in 1997. She has been playing the violin since she was
eight years old and has performed with the Pasadena Philharmonic and Temple
Symphony. Mrs. Sozansky is a member of the Texas Orchestra Director's
Association, Texas Music Educator's Association, and Texas Music
Adjudicator's Association. She has worked with the Austin Youth Orchestra
and has earned a scholarship from TMAA in 2009. Mrs. Sozansky has a special
interest in playing fiddle music and has attended two Mark O'Connor fiddle
camps, one in Tennessee and the other in New York City. Hopewell MS has
earned consistent superior ratings at UIL contest and Solo and Ensemble
Competition. Hopewell is also the first middle school in RRISD to offer
Mariachi. When not conducting the orchestras, Mrs. Sozansky enjoys spending
time with her husband and two boys, Alexander and David.
