About Mrs. Scott

Howdy!!

I was born in Houston, Texas and graduated from Westchester High School. I 
received my Bachelor's Degree from Texas A&M in Communications and 
Business.  
Since graduation, I worked in the private sector for a 
computer reseller as a networking and customer service specialist as well as 
being a web designer.  

I came to Irion County in the Spring of 2001 to take over the technology 
needs for our students.  This year your outstanding staff members have risen 
to the technology challenge and in this school year, your students will be 
receiving their technology integration from their classroom teachers. 

I am teaching English/Language Arts for the 5th and 6th graders and 4th 
grade Writing!!  I look forward to an outstanding year of academic successes.

My Mission as your Teacher

Language Arts is the study of the component parts of our language.  From 
roots derived from Latin, compound words, spelling, Idioms, poetry, prose, 
comprehension, and of course writing, all of these and more are at the core 
of an outstanding Language Arts student!!

My plan by the end of the school year is to refine your student's skills as 
writers, increase their understanding of parts of speech, increase their 
spelling and vocabulary skills, and continue to instill in them a love for 
reading - as it opens new worlds in the imagination!!
