Howdy!!
I was born in Houston, Texas and graduated from Westchester High School. I
received my Bachelor's Degree from Texas A&M in Communications and
Business. Last May (2009) I received my Masters Degree in Educational
Administration from Texas Tech Uniersity.
Since graduation, I worked in the private sector for a
computer reseller as a networking and customer service specialist as well as
being a web designer.
I came to Irion County in the Spring of 2001 to take over the technology
needs for our students. Two years ago, I switched from Technology
integration to Language Arts teacher for the 5th and 6th grades. This year I
added 6th grade Science, World History and Technology and it is AWESOME!!! I
look forward to an outstanding year of academic successes.
Please feel free to contact me if you ever have any questions or concerns.

Language Arts is the study of the component parts of our language. From
roots derived from Latin, compound words, spelling, Idioms, poetry, prose,
comprehension, and of course writing, all of these and more are at the core
of an outstanding Language Arts student!!
My plan by the end of the school year is to refine your student's skills as
writers, increase their understanding of parts of speech, increase their
spelling and vocabulary skills, and continue to instill in them a love for
reading - as it opens new worlds in the imagination!!
World History covers - well - the entire world! Expect some cool projects
and lots of multi-cultural learning experiences. We are writing to students
in Africa - specifically in the country of Ghana. Ask your students about
this incredible penpal experience!
In Science - we will be doing some awesome experiments, learning about
Science tools, and very soon we will start the Science Fair projects. My
goal for your students is to help them create a fantastic project that could
advance to the Regional Science Fair in San Angelo and hopefully the State
Fair in San Antonio.
