Hello to our third grade parents and my "special" Hornet Hive!!!! I am VERY
excited for school to begin so I can see "my" kiddos again!!! This is going
to be an exciting year with all of the changes going on and a new school
evolving in the near future.
The following are just a few tidbits I like to get to parents ASAP. Please
DO NOT stress about the AR Point scale. You and your child will be amazed
to learn how easy it is to accumulate 10 AR points within a 6-weeks period.
The AR Test grade counts as only one test grade. It is NOT their 6-weeks
reading grade.
ALSO, Homecoming is September 19. Yes, I'm serious! Parents, get your heads
together and be thinking of a theme for our float. I'll volunteer our
flatbed trailor. We'll just need someone to drive.

*PARENTS, IF YOUR CHILD COMES HOME WITH AN ASSIGNMENT GRADE OF 70 OR BELOW,
HE/SHE IS ALLOWED TO CORRECT THE ASSIGNMENT FOR A NEW GRADE WHICH WILL BE
THE AVERAGE OF THE 2 GRADES. NO TESTS CAN BE CORRECTED UNLESS AUTHORIZED BY
THE TEACHER.
*An AR TEST grade will be given each six weeks and will be based on the
following point scale:
