I expect students to use good basic manners and show good character traits at school.
1. Listen carefully.
2. Raise your hand for permission to speak, get out of seat, sharpen pencil, etc.
3. Respect others and property.
4. Keep hands, feet, and other objects to yourself.
5. Be prepared for class by having all the necessary materials (paper, pencil, eraser, homework, binder, and any other materials).
Your child's success is very important. To create and maintain a positive learning environment for all students, I will follow the behavior and discipline policy. To monitor behavior, I will have a behavior chart hanging on the back wall. Each student will have their name on the board, as the need arises, the student will have to move their name to the 5, 10, or 15 minutes sign. This will be the amount of time that the student has forfeited for negative behavior. Repetitive infractions to the rules will result loss of recess time, lunch detention, or ISS.
We all know that school is a place to learn, not a place to misbehave. Therefore, unacceptable behavior will have an effect on conduct grades.
*Remember~Each day is a NEW DAY. All recorded offenses start over at the start of each 9 week grading period. Great behavior and greatly improved behavior will also be rewarded.
