I am so excited to get to know you and your child through this year. I
look forward to a positive and education filled year.
Reminders:
- Car riders will be by the cafeteria in the back
- Parents should ALWAYS sign in if entering the school, even if
right after the bell rings. Entering the side doors is not
correct procedure.
- Bus riders and daycare buses are in the front of the school
- Walkers or people walking up should pick their children up by
the second grade doors.
- The hug zone is by the office and in the cafeteria, this is
where you say good-bye to your child. If you do want to walk
your child to the classroom, you will need to sign in at
the front office. We do promote more independence in 2nd grade.
- All of second grade will have the same schedule.
- Lunch is at 11:34 this year.
Daily folders will be sent home every day (blue). You will sign the child's
folder for their behavior, look for homework, and sign their reading log.
Thursday folders(red) will be sent home every Thursday. Please look
carefully for important documents that need to be read
and/or signed. Bring the red Thursday folder back on Friday, empty. Homework
will be sent home on Mondays and can be brought back any day, but before
Friday. Also, you child should be reading AT LEAST 20 minutes each night.
