Homework will be sent out the first day of the week and expected back the
last day of the week. It will be a packet. It can be done in one night or
spread out through the week. Also, your child will need to read 20 minutes
each night, in the books I give them, at their reading level. Make sure they
are reading EVERY night. Any extra homework will be sent home throughout
the week if needed.
If your child is struggling with reading, a list of words will be sent home.
You can create sight word cards and the words that need to be sounded out.
There is a difference in the list, one is a set of sight words, and one is
words sounded out.
Please remember that parental help should be kept to a MINIMUM. If your
child has a hard time and needs help, then you should help them. When they
are finished with the assignment, I encourage you to look over what they have
done and help them if needed.
