My family moved to the United States from India when I was two years old.
In my free time I love to cook, read, travel, and listen to music.
This is my sixth year at Laurel Mountain. I moved here from New York
City, where I taught at the East Village Community School. I have more than
fifteen years of teaching experience with a master's degree in elementary
education. I enjoy anything that allows children to express their ideas and
creativity, show their expertise and strengths in different areas, and take
risks in order to learn and grow as people. I truly believe in Howard
Gardner's theory of multiple intelligences. Every child is a learner and a
teacher.I personally have learned something from every student I've ever
had...and that number is in the hundreds now. I'm looking forward to
another great year at Laurel Mountain.
Ms. Sen's class will learn and play together, treat each other with respect
and kindness, and work hard to solve the problems that come up each day.
Our mission is to become readers, writers, scientists, mathematicians,
musicians, artists, and leaders at Laurel Mountain Elementary School.
