I Can Learn...

What can I learn in Kindergarten?

1. My ideas are special and important.
2. Rocks and sticks stay on the ground at recess.
3. Wear comfortable shoes.
4. Sometimes you have to wait.
5. Try to solve your own problem first, if you can’t then ask for help.
6. One of the best things in life is—a good book.
7. “Audience behavior”—sit quietly & still. Listen, clap at the end.
8. Give people compliments.
9. Use your imagination.
10. Be on time to school.
11. Take turns.
12. It is fun to sing and dance.
13. Use outside voices—OUTSIDE
14. Sit down on the bus, keep your arms and legs inside the windows.
15. You need to use the bathroom at school—don’t wait to go at home.
16. Eat healthy foods, most of the time.
17. Do your job, people are counting on you.
18. Don’t throw food in the cafeteria.
19. Run, jump, spin, climb, hop, and skip on the playground.
20. Ask lots of questions.
21. Keep your hands to yourself.
22. Smile every hour.
23. Take care of your library book, bring it back on time,check out
another.
24. Be silly sometimes.
25. Give lots of hugs.
26. Laugh as often as you can.
27. Notice the little things.
28. Everybody makes mistakes.
29. There are many adults at school that will help.
30. I can be friends at school with older students—4th grade buddies.
31. Everybody is good at something.
32. The principal is the boss of the school.
33. There is a time to talk AND a time to listen.
34. I can choose how I act.
35. It’s okay to cry.
36. I can tell Mrs. Prentice anything.
37. Treat others how you want to be treated.
38. It’s okay to rest at naptime—it’s good for you.
39. Rest at naptime, even if you don’t want to.

44. You don’t have to be the best.

105. Wherever I go, whatever I do, Mrs. Prentice will always love me!
