I graduated from Southwestern University in Georgetown, TX in 2004 with a
degree in Communication. This will be my 5th year teaching - the time has
gone by very quickly. I love Live Oak and everyone here; we have the best
students in Texas!
I received my special education, general education, and highly qualified
certifications back in 2007. I spent 2007-2009 working with dyslexia and
intervention groups for math and reading grades 3-5. I've spent the last two
years teaching 4th grade. I very much enjoyed it and now find myself back in
intervention. I look forward to a very prosperous year for Live Oak!
My mission for this and every class is to create a genuine environment of
structure, creativity and warmth. Every child is capable of academic
success when they believe in themselves and the teachers they encounter
every day. I vow to help, nudge, clarify, motivate and lead my students
until it is time to step aside and let them lead.
