We work hard for 7 hours everyday at school, so you can play hard together at home! "Homework" for
our class is intended to be a time for you and your child to spend together doing fun, creative, brain-
growing activities.
Please do make it a goal to read daily with your child and foster a love of books. Reading together is
the best thing you can do for your child's academic growth. And what a wonderful habit to help your
little one develop! At times, I may send home specific books, but otherwise read anything you like. Even
researching something together on the Internet would be wonderful practice. Read to your child, listen
to him/her, or take turns reading - all are beneficial...and fun!
Other than that, your child's "homework" is do something creative and enjoyable, preferably with you -
cook dinner, look at the moon, build with legos, play a board game, go to a park, do something kind for
a neighbor, etc. Once your child has completed his/her "homework", he/she can color in the day's box
on the daily folder calendar.
