Hello!
My name is Berta Tuten and I have been in education 23 years. I have a
Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Education from Sul Ross State University.
I have earned the following Texas Certification areas: Master Reading
Teacher (Grades EC-12), Elementary Grades (1-8), Secondary English, History,
and Reading (Grades 6-12), and an ESL certification (Grades EC-12).
Most recently, I was a Reading Coach in a Reading First school district.
I look forward to meeting all my students' parents, and do not hesitate to
call me at 512-398-0421.
My mission for this school year is to provide the best quality of
instruction to all my students who are struggling readers. I will
use varied research-based strategies to attain my students' goals, and
I will monitor their progress closely. I hope to be invited by my
colleagues to assist in their classrooms.
My greatest fulfillment will be to see my students receive their high school
diploma and know they have a plan after graduation.
