| StuCo Lock-In is our time to plan events and meeting dates for the entire
year.
StuCo members are greeters at school wide events, such as, Open House and
Family Night. We also greet very special guests on our campus.
Each year, 2 members are selected to attend the StuCo conference held in
Houston.
October 31 is our annual Pumpkin Contest.
During election years, we hold a Mock Election.
Cookies for Courage is our time to thank our law enforcement and fire
fighters for the courage they show everyday protecting us. StuCo members
each provide 2 dozen cookies to deliver.
Every Christmas you can help support our council by purchasing Christmas
Grams for $0.25 to give to that special someone.
Student Council shares the spirit of Christmas and the love of Valentine's
by visiting Woodlake Nursing Home to deliver christmas cards and
valentines. They always love to hear us sing!
The 3rd week of January is Healthy Kids Week. Listen to announcements to
hear some great tips on staying healthy. Be sure to get up and exercise
with us on announcements each morning!
Our annual fundraiser is our Valentine's Dance. It is for the whole family
to enjoy. Watch for more details on this event.
Are you feeling lucky? In March, you could get lucky and win a prize if
your lucky number is called on the morning announcements. This event is
every school day during the month of March.
Relax, it's just TAKS!! Pajama Day - To help everyone relax before the big
test day, we take the Friday before and dress very comfortable. In fact,
everyone wears their pajamas and house shoes to school.
The 3rd week of April is National Student Leaders Week. Take time to tell
your council how great a job they are doing.
Teacher Appreciation Week - During the month of May, StuCo takes time from
their busy schedule to thank the teachers at Jane Long for the wonderful job
they do for all students.
