Jane Long Student Council consists of 4th graders who are elected by their
peers. They are learners...always seeking solutions for problems. They are
enthusiastic...always have a happy attitude. They are alert...always ready
to do the job. They are democratic...respecting everyone's ideas. They are
energetic...have a "CAN DO" attitude. They are responsible...they always
get the job done and they do it well. They are spirited...generating energy
and team spirit within with school.
• I will be serious about promoting school spirit.
• I will listen to all members’ ideas.
• I will maintain the grade standard set by the council in both
academics and citizenship.
• I will make sure everyone understands their job and responsibilities.
• I will be a model of leadership within the school.
• I will attend all meetings and be prepared and punctual for them.
• I will say “Thank you” to the people who support our programs.
• I will respect the opinions of others in the group.
• I will follow through to the end of each activity.
• I will set and stick to timelines.
