Focus
By the end of class the student will be able to recognize patterns and
identify what comes next in a pattern. The student will also be able to
independently work on www.littlefingers.com using their mouse and the
internet to practice.
Objective

Instructional Strategies
The students will come in and seat themselves on the floor. I will explain
the day’s lesson and give them a brief demonstration of what to do.
Guided Practice
The students will come to my desk one at a time and do the activity in front
of the class.
Independent Practice
The students will work on the same activity independently on their computer.
Assessment
Teacher will walk around and monitor each student to see that they
understand and are working.
Enrichment Activity (if time allows)
Students will open Kid Pix and create their own pattern encourage higher
order thinking.

Block A & B - 4th grade
4th grade will be doing an activity on Mrs. Fulton’s music webpage. They
will compose three lines of their own music. They will need to include the
following in their music: name, title, starting and ending each line
properly, and use of whole notes, half notes, ect. They will print these and
turn them in for a grade in music.
Block C – Kindergarten & Pre-Kindergarten
They will be introduced to a brand new website, www.littlefingers.com . For
pre-k they will be watching me on the big screen and coming up one at a time
to practice. For kindergarten we will work as a class for half of the time
and then they will get to try it out on their own computer for the second
half.
Block D & E – 2nd grade
Second grade will also be introduced to a new website this week. It is
called GameGoo-“learning that sticks”. Mainly, they will be working on games
teaching about antonyms, synonyms, sentence structure, spelling and counting
money. They can choose their own difficulty level.
Block F & G – 1st grade
First grade will also be introduced to GameGoo-“learning that sticks” this
week. They will be working on games teaching about opposites, sentence
structure, spelling and alphabetizing. They can choose their own difficulty
level
Block H – Kindergarten
Kindergarten will be doing the same thing as pre-kindergarten did today. See
Block C.
Block I & J – 3rd Grade

Block A & B - 4th grade
4th grade is studying plant classification and parts of a flower and seed in
science right now. During lab they will be doing an online lesson
called “The Great Plant Escape.” They will go through a series of lessons
that will help them do the following things:
• List the important things needed for plant growth.
• Help in the growth of a living organism.
• Demonstrate knowledge and use of words related to seeds and plants.
• Read to find answers to questions.
• Describe and record observations.
• Listen for answers and new information.
• Describe how plants grow and what they need to grow.
• Make guesses about lettuce and its growth (time, size, color, etc.)
Block C – Kindergarten & Pre-Kindergarten
They will work independently at their computer on alphabet and reading
activities.
Block D & E – 2nd grade
Second grade needs help with improving their speed in doing addition and
subtraction problems. To work on this we will be using Math Mastery. All the
students in the class will be competing to get the most problems correct in
60 seconds. The winner will get to have lunch with me.
Block F & G – 1st grade
First grade will be doing online reading activities today. Depending on
their reading level they will be reading stories on the Learn to Read
portion of starfall or reading on the I Can Read portion of starfall. After
reading a few stories they will do online vocabulary activities.
Block H – Kindergarten
Kindergarten will be doing the same thing as pre-kindergarten did today. See
Block C.
Block I & J – 3rd Grade
Third grade in studying simple machines, inventions and inventors. Their
homeroom teacher has assigned each one of them an invention. They will be
completing a worksheet asking questions about their inventor and invention
by researching online using a search engine such as yahoo or ask.
If they would like to work on this at home, the questions are:
1. What is the inventor’s name?
2. Where is the inventor from?
3. Is the inventor still alive?
4. What invention or inventions is this person famous for?
5. How did the inventor come up with the idea?
6. What year was it invented?
7. How does this invention change our lives in a good way?

Block A & B - 4th grade
4th grade is studying soil in science right now. As a class, we will watch
an interactive lesson from brainpop.com on soil science. I will pause
throughout to ask questions. They will then go to their own computers to
review the lesson and take an online pop quiz. They will each print out
their quiz to take back to class and use as a study guide. This will also be
counted for a grade in their science class.
Block C – Kindergarten & Pre-Kindergarten
We will be working on letter sounds and letter recognition. They will watch
me do an activity on starfall.com as a class. They will then go to their own
computer and work on the online alphabet activities.
Block D & E – 2nd grade
Second grade needs help with improving their speed in doing addition and
subtraction problems. To work on this we will be using Math Mastery. All the

reports showing me which problems each student is missing and how much they

Third grade is learning about fractions in math this week. They will do a
math game from primary games that will help them to understand fractions
using pizza. After they pass the game, they will go to Kid Pix. In Kid Pix
they will illustrate two fractions by drawing two pizzas. They will then
type an equation that shows what those two fractions added together equals
and turn it in to me.
