Is speaking in front of the class required to receive course credit?
Students are to perform in front of the class to demonstrate the ability to
apply combined course concepts to new situations.

What is involved in class participation?
Class participation counts 50% of a student's grade and includes:
note taking, working with classmates, and participating in class activities
such as skits, sketches, job interview practice, and group work.

What type of homework is involved in this class?
Students are asked to prepare and to practice speeches at home. The study
of vocabulary and notes is most important on quizzes and tests. Other work
will be assigned as
needed.

What type of daily work is required?
Students are to write Cornell Notes, to write critiques, and/or to
participate in skits, interviews, speeches, and other activities each day.

What about makeup work?
Students are responsible for asking the instructor for makeup work. Three
days is the standard limit for makeup assignments.
