On Saturday, October 20th, the Mustang Band competed at the UIL Region 26
Marching Contest at the Round Rock ISD Stadium. The band earned a rating of
"Good" from the three-judge panel. We are very proud of our students and the
hard work they have done this semester.
On Saturday, September 29th, the Mustang Band competed at the USSBA Central
Texas Preview held at Hendrickson High School. The Mustang Band earned 1st
place in their classification and won 1st place in all the captions.
Congratulations to the Mustang Band members on their hard work!!!

We are very proud of these students for representing Manor High School at
such a prestigious competition.
On April 26-29, the MHS Wind Ensemble traveled to St. Louis, MO for the
annual band trip. While at St. Louis, the band took part in the "Music in
the Parks" Music Festival and earned a "Superior" rating and took second
place overall. Congratulations to all the students who participated and
represented MHS.
On April 4th, the MHS Wind Ensemble participated at UIL Concert and Sight
Reading Contest. The competition took place at Burnet HS. The ensemble
received a rating of "Good" for the concert portion of the contest and a
rating of "Excellent" for the Sight Reading portion. Overall the MHS Bands
have had an "Excellent" first year in 4A.

We have a total of 12 students advancing to the Texas State Solo and
Ensemble Contest to be held the weekend of May 26th.
On Saturday, December 2nd, eight of our band students auditioned for the
TMEA 4A All-Region Band at Vista Ridge High School. We had seven out of the
eight students make the all-region bands. The student who did not make it,
only missed by 2 chairs and was named to the All-District Band. Here are the

audition for the TMEA All-State Band on January 6th at Baylor University in
Waco, Tx.

On Saturday, October 21st, the Mustang Band competed at UIL Region Marching
Contest and earned an Excellent rating from the judges. This was the band's
first 4A competition and the band did great!! Thanks to all the parents,
teachers, adminstrators and community members for their support at the
contest!!!
