I am a graduate of Tarleton State University, and I have been teaching at
Manor High for 2 1/2 years. I have recently become the chess sponsor for the
new chess club.
English III:
1.The student will become familiar with a variety of texts and demonstrate a
basic understanding of these texts.
2.The student will demonstrate an understanding of literary elements
associated with different texts.
3.The student will be able to analyze and critically evaluate American
literature texts.
4.Students will frequently check their papers for grammatical errors, edit
papers for clarity, and check for correct use of conventions and mechanics
of written English to produce error-free drafts.
5.The student will plan, draft, and complete written compositions on a
regular basis.
6.Students will share ideas in class discussions and listen to others’ ideas
to provide constructive criticism.
