Dusty Bakke is loving her first year as the Art Teacher at NYOS Elementary.
She recently moved to the Austin area after graduating from The University
of North Texas in Denton. This is her first year teaching and is loving
every minute of it!
Mrs. Bakke recently got married. She and her husband John love to explore
Austin with their 2 dogs. (Roxy, a black lab and Gretchen, a red healer
mix.) Mrs. Bakke loves to spend time with family, create all types of art,
and garden.
In my classroom, my students will feel welcome to create art. They will be
encouraged to discuss their work with others and collaborate, so that they
learn to value not only themselves, but others.
