NAME:
Mrs. Webber
SCHOOL:
NYOS Charter School
CLASS:
2nd/3rd Grade
SCHOOL PHONE:
My name is Janell Webber. I graduated from Texas State University with a
Bachelor’s Degree in Education. I graduated with Summa Cum Laude honors, and
received my teaching certification in early childhood through 4th grade. I
went back to school last summer and received my special education
certification. I am married to an Austin/Travis County Paramedic, and we are
expecting our first child in August.
For me, teaching is not just a job.
From July through May, it is my life.
This means that your child’s success is my success. I will do everything
within my power to help your child reach the expectations of second/third
grade. I will provide a nurturing learning environment which promotes
respect, diversity, creativity and responsibility. I will treat each student
as a unique individual, yet be fair and consistent when establishing and
enforcing rules and expectations. I will encourage each child’s special
talents and celebrate their accomplishments. I am committed to teaching your
child the skills he or she will use for the rest of his or her life.
I value your input and support. Throughout the remainder of the year I will
provide opportunities for your involvement in the classroom. I will inform
you of your child’s progress and offer ideas and resources for extending
learning at home. I appreciate your effort and welcome your comments and
questions. Please feel free to contact me through email (jwebber@nyos.org)
or at the school starting April 12th. If you have any concerns, sensitive
topics, or allergies that I need to be aware of, please let me know.
I feel privileged to be able to guide your child through this amazing
learning experience. However, I cannot do it alone. Learning does not stop
when a child leaves school. Education a child depends upon a partnership
between teachers and parents.
I look forward to working with you and your child to make this a wonderful
year.
Sincerely,
Janell Webber
