Homework

Your child brought home spelling homework this week. They have a list of
10 rule-based words and 2 vocabulary words. They need to know how to spell
the rule-based words. With the vocabulary words, they should know how to
spell the word and be able to tell what the word means. They can do this
with an illustration, an example, they may use the word in a sentence or
they may write its definition. I teach a phonics lesson on Monday
pertaining to the rule the students are using that week.
Reading-Students will be required to complete a reading comprehension log
weekly along with their 20 minutes of reading per night.
Spelling- Students need to study their spelling words for their test on
Friday.
Math-Students will have weekly math homework that will be assigned on
Friday
and due on the following Friday. Math homework will vary from week to week.
Agenda- Students will be required to have their agenda signed nightly. It
will be checked each morning at the beginning of class. A student's binder
with their agenda signed needs to be brought home and returned each day.
