Parents,
Old Town's annual science fair will be held January 26th. Science projects are due on Jan. 24th. We do not require second graders to participate as we will be teaching the scientific process in class and will do a project together. However, I encourage students to work on one at home with parents' guidance if they are interested in doing so. It is a great learning experience!
Having gone through this with three of my own children for many years, I highly encourage anyone wishing to do a project to start discussing and planning it soon. It will save frustration later down the line. :)
All information is on EBackpack. I am also adding the address below. We will not be sending out printed information unless requested by a parent. If you do not have access to a printer and would like a copy of a form, please let me know and I will be happy to provide it.
There are wonderful links on our school website for ideas as well as many books in our library to get you started. The class is excited at the idea of a project, so I hope you will encourage your student to participate.
