I have taught second grade for 13 years. I also taught first grade
for four years many years ago. After that, I stayed home to raise 4
children, and now I’m back in the classroom. I love teaching! Having my
own children has contributed to my enjoyment of children and understanding
of the differences and difficulties of various kinds of children.
My oldest daughter graduated from UT and designs jewelry for a company in
Austin named Shaesby. You will sometimes find them mentioned in the Life
and Arts section of the Austin American Statesman! She also designs and
makes custom jewelry, especially engagement rings. My son recently finished
his masters degree in Finance and landed his first job in his field. He got
married in 2010, so I am a mother in law. My 2nd daughter got her undergrad
degree from UT and her masters from Baylor. She is a speech pathologist
currently working at the Austin State School. She also got married
recently. My third daughter just graduated from Texas State and is job
hunting.
My hobbies are yard work and gardening, reading, and baking.
