About Mrs. Hovis


This is my 15th year to teach at Old Town Elementary. My first 3 years at Old
Town I taught 4th grade, and for the remaining years I have taught Physical
Education/ Wellness. I received my bachelors degree in Interdisciplinary
Studies with a specialization in reading and physical education from
Southwest Texas State University (Texas State).

I grew up right down the road in Tonkawa Springs. My little sister, Suzy
even attended Old Town as a 4th and 5th grader when the school first opened
20 years ago! I LOVE being a part of the Old Town Community!

My husband Les and I have been together for 23 years, married for 18
years...we were "high school sweethearts" and met at Round Rock High School.
We have 3 wonderful children. Emily is 15 and attends RRHS. Luke is in the
5th grade and Lance is in the 3rd grade at Old Town.

We are an animal loving family! We have 1 border collie/ sheltie mix (Lucy),
2 chihuahuas (Paloma and Trinity), 2 siamese cats (Sonic and Sapphire), 1
tabby cat (Sweetie), and a bearded dragon (Spike).
