Happy February!
Many exciting things are happening this month! On Wednesday, February 1, we
are celebrating the 100 Days of School! Our class will rotate through
different Kinder classrooms completing various 100 Day activities. Don't
forget, Wednesday is also Early Release at 12:45!
Groundhog Day is coming up soon! We learned some really fun facts about
Groundhogs (otherwise known as Wood Chucks)and are anxiously awaiting what
our furry friend will predict this year.
We will have a Valentine's celebration/rotation. More information will be
shared in the coming weeks. If you would like to plan ahead, feel free to
purchase Valentine cards for the class. We have 21 students in our class(10
girls/11 boys).
This month in Lanuage Arts, we are studying media literacy. You may have had
your kiddo come home and do a commercial for you. They have had so much fun
making ads, watching and making their own commercials and looking through
newspapers and magazines.
This week we are learning about area in Math. The other units we will be
working on are temperature, graphs, and patterns.
In Science, we are currently working on our rock unit. We will continue this
next week along with soil. The water cycle will be next, followed by natural
resources.
