About The Teacher

Mrs. Flansburg graduated from Southwest Texas State University with a
Bachelor of Arts in Sociology. I knew I wanted to work with children and
found myself with a Director's Certification for Day Care Centers and
supervised nine after school programs in Austin. Realizing teaching was my
calling, I was accepted to Region XIII Alternative Certification Program and
worked in AISD for six years teaching PPCD. I made the move to Round Rock and
have taught at Old Town for four years. It is a truly child centered campus.

I am happily married to my best friend and husband, Danny and have two
energetic girls, Peyton (8), and Piper (5). We are animal lovers and have 3
dogs and a cat. My family loves to camp, play outside, and sometimes curl up
for a Friday night movie night. We live in Forest Creek so my kids do not
attend school here. I truly love teaching and look forward to an awesome year!

Other Information:

I am an early bird and get up around 5:30 each morning! Love it!

I am a family oriented person and my family is my favorite group to hang out
with (besides your kiddos :)

I have lots of energy and will have your kiddos moving and learning!

I am addicted to Coca-Cola and you will probably see me with a cold cup filled
with crushed ice and soda! Yum!

I LOVE to read and spend lots of my free time cuddled up in my bed obsessively
devouring my books.

I laugh a lot! Humor will be used often in the classroom.

I spend way too much money on Yankee Candles (my favorite!)
