YOUTH ART MONTH...
it's that time again! We are participating in a schoolwide sale of t-shirts
and aprons celebrating Art awareness across the nation. Our YAM sales earn a
little bit of extra money to spend on art supplies for enrichment projects.
Sometimes we buy printmaking ink or fancy watercolors with the proceeds.
These sales help us to afford good supplies for special projects.
Look for a YAM flyer in the e-backpack for Thurs, Jan 26th, 2012. The sale
of Aprons and T-shirts only lasts for two weeks. So, if you'd like to
participate in the sale, simply...
1. print out the flyer,
2. fill in your order,
3. send cash or write out a check including your DL # please,
4. send your order form and your money to your art teacher, place in our
mailboxes or bring it to either of the artrooms by FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 10th, 2012
Thanks for your continued support in our efforts to serve your children in
the visual arts.
We've been having lots of fun in the art classrooms and students are creating
amazing art projects. All the hard work is paying off as the students enjoy
their beautiful projects. We only see your children for about an
hour a week so our projects can take forever to get finished. When the art
does make it home, take a few minutes to visit with your child about 'who'
was studied in art history, 'how' the artwork was made, 'what' materials were
used, 'why' the details are special, 'which' part is their favorite,
and 'where' you are going to display the masterpiece? Each of our students
has been working like crazy, so we hope you enjoy the show. Take a close look
at the grade level lessons on our Art website, you will be able to see what
is expected for your child.
