When does school begin?
School officially begins at 7:45 a.m. That is when the tardy bell
rings. However, we open our doors for students at 7:15 a.m.
Students will go straight to their classrooms and quietly wait outside
until the teacher welcomes them to class to begin instruction.
Where is pick-up/drop-off?
At this time, we are asking for busses/day care to use the front
of the school for drop off. After all of the busses have left
(approximately 7:25), cars may also use the front to drop their
child off at school. At any time, you may use the east side of
the school for drop-off in the morning. The best way to get
there is to take Indina Hills around the back of the school.
For dismissal, we will have the busses pull all the way down the
front drive. Cars will be able to use the front drive to pick
up students in Grades 1 and 5. Parents will use the east side of
the school to pick students up in Grades K, 2, 3, and 4.
What if I have children that should be picked up in the front (Grade 1 or 5) and the side (Grade K, 1, 3, or 4)?
The oldest sibling will go to where the youngest sibling gets
picked up and wait with them. The parent will not go to both the
front and side of the school to pick-up.
When am I able to bring in treats to celebrate my child's birthday?
You may bring in treats any day to celebrate your child's
birthday. However, you need to make plans with the teacher
first, and state law requires that the snacks be brought *after*
lunch.
What do I need to bring when I want to register my child for school?
When you come to register your child, make sure you bring your
child's shot records, birth certificate, social security card,
last report card (if possible), and proof of residence (a lease
agreement or homeowner's deed is ideal). There is some paperwork
to fill out but you can take it home and bring it back if that
would be easier!
What is PBIS?
PBIS stands for Positive Behavior Interventions and Support. It is
the school-wide program we use to model the behavior expectations
we have for students. You will hear the word "expectations" a lot
from adults at our school. You may visit the Sommer School's web page
(you can find the link on my links page)to find more information.
What are Watch D.O.G.S.
Watch D.O.G.S. (Dads of Great Students) is a program that has
positive male role models (dads, granddads, uncles, older
brothers, neighbors, husbands, etc.) come to school for the day.
They monitor the school to make sure the students are safe and
spend the day interacting with students. It is a great way to
help the school and find out more about what happens here! If
you are interested, please call us at 704-0600, and we will help
you.
What is the best way to contact you or have a meeting?
You may either e-mail me at Katie_Holding@roundrockisd.org or

return phone calls and e-mails within 24 hours. If you would
like to have a face to face meeting, I request that you e-mail or
call me with that information, and we can schedule a time that
works best for both of us!
