This is my 13th year at Pond Springs. Prior to teaching third grade, I
taught first grade and second grade. I have a Bachelor of Science in
Agriculture/Horticulture and a Masters of Education in Elementary Education.
I currently have certifications in Early Childhood, Reading (1st-8th),
Elementary Education, English as a Second Language,and Gifted and Talented
instruction. I am a Nationally Board Certified Teacher,as well.
I am married and have three children: Daniel, Katherine, and Julia and two
grandsons, Daniel and Axton, and one granddaughter, Devhyn. My children
attended Pond Springs. My husband, Bill, is a roofing contractor and sings in
a rock band called The Wild Dogs.
If I'm not teaching, I can be found with a book or fishing pole in my
hand. I might also be scrapbooking or gardening, or maybe quilting. As you
can see, I have a lot of hobbies to keep me busy.
We will come to school prepared to learn. We understand that following
the rules helps everyone become successful learners. We will try new things
and make new friends. By doing these things, we know that we will have a fun
and productive year!
