Hi. My name is Lydia Terry and I am the Parent Support Specialist for Pond
Springs. Part of my job is to set up and maintain the PRO Center or the
parent room which is located in the portable to the right of the school. It's
a wonderful, warm, and friendly room with plenty of age appropriate toys to
delight your preschooler or toddler. There is a library of adult resources
including parenting books, videos, and pamphlets there too. Please stop in
and say hello.
I am in the PRO Center every Monday from 7:30-3:00 and 1/2 day on Tuesdays. I
am at Live Oak on Wednesdays 7:45-2:45 and 1/2 day on Thursdays. In the
event that I have off campus meetings that take me away from either school on
the assigned days, I will do my best to make that up on Fridays. For an

Schedule. I update my schedule weekly there.
I am here to help parents by providing educational, social, and volunteer
opportunities as well as access to a wide array of resources for your
specific needs. So if you have any questions about our school, our
community,volunteer opportunities, special needs, etc....I'm here to help.
If I don't know the answer right away, you can surely bet that I know where
to find it!!

also a suggestion box located near the doorway of the PRO Center so that you
can leave me a note, ask a question, etc. If you would like to meet with me to
discuss your specific needs as a parent, an appointment time can be arranged
to accommodate your schedule.

A Parent Support Specialist(PSS) is a part-time district employee whose job it
is to support, encourage, and assist the parents with whatever needs they are
having. I am here to serve the parents of Pond Springs by providing a direct
link to our school staff, community resources, and both educational and
volunteer opportunities.
The education of our children is a group effort. It takes all of
us...parents, staff, teachers, community members, grandparents, etc. Parents
need to fill our tool belts with as many tools as we can to reinforce the
teaching that is occurring at school. Do we know how best to do that? Do we
have a good understanding of what is being taught, how it's being taught, and
how we can create the link of learning from our classrooms to our living
