Your child has a 1" white binder, called a "Home Binder", and he/she is to
bring the binder home each day in their backpack. Each week a communication
sheet will be inserted behind the section labeled Daily Log. The weekly
sheet lists any important activities and reminders, as well
as a behavior chart. Also included in the Home Binder is a section
labeled "Classroom Newsletters". Each month a new newsletter will be
inserted in this section. At the back of the Home Binder is a section for
study skills, with word lists and visuals that your child will use both at
school and at home.
Any additional announcements will be be placed in the Wednesday Folder which
goes home each week. This will include notices from the PTA, as well as our
school-wide weekly newsletter, "The Purple Press".
