Students will have spelling homework Monday through Wednesday and a Spelling
Pre-Test on Thursday. If students make a 100 on their Pre-Test, they get to
keep that score as their Spelling Test score and do not have to take a test
on Friday.
Students will be given their Spelling Word list on Mondays. Students are
responsible for choosing a spelling word activity each night, Monday through
Wednesday. Homework is due each day at the beginning of class.
Spelling Homework options:
*Write words three times each
*Write words once in print and once in cursive
*Type words on the computer three times each
*Write or type each word in a complete sentence
*Write each word in bubble letters
*Write rainbow words (write words 3 times in different colors)
*Write words in ABC or reverse ABC order
*Write a story, poem or comic strip using words
*Make a word search or crossword puzzle using your words at

*Write words using one color for vowels and one color for consonants
*Write each word and then write a rhyming word beside it
*Create your own fun way to study your spelling words
