Beginning my 20th year at Purple Sage (22nd year to teach), I am teaching
TAG for the second year. I have previously taught 5th grade as a
homeroom teacher, as well as 5th grade language arts and math as an
inclusion teacher for more than eight years. I received my undergraduate
degree in psychology from Lawrence University in Appleton, WI; and I
completed my MEd in special education from Texas State. I am certified to
teach general education k-8, TAG, ESOL, special education k-12, secondary
psychology, and all-level PE. I have completed numerous workshops and
specialty trainings in reading instruction, differentiated instruction, TAG,
and science.
I am an avid reader and enjoy sports and outdoor activities, as well. I
am a mother of two, a Girl Scout leader, flute player, and church youth choir
sponsor.
