TIME FOR THE HOLIDAYS!
--Tuesday, December 8: Beginner Holiday Concert
--There will be two separate Beginner Bands this year, because there are so
many students! The bands are chosen at random, and are called the "Red" Band
and the "Green" Band.
--An AFTER-SCHOOL REHEARSAL will take place on Monday, December 7. It will
start at 3:45 p.m. and end at 5:00 p.m. All Beginning Band students are
required to attend this rehearsal.
--Thursday, December 10: Advanced Band Holiday Concerts
--A PANCAKE SUPPER will take place on both
nights!
--Tickets will be available for advance purchase for $5.00. They will be $6.00
at the door.
--We are in need of griddles! If you have a griddle that we can borrow for
cooking the pancakes, please let us know!
--We are also in need of Parent Volunteers to help us out with cooking and
serving on both nights. Please contact Diane Garrett if you would like to help
out!
WIND ENSEMBLE HOLIDAY TOUR: Friday, December 4.
--The Wind Ensemble will be joining forces with the Orchestra
and Choir for a Holiday Tour! They will be performing a Holiday Concert for
Blackland Prairie Elementary, Gattis Elementary, and Forest Creek Elementary!
--All Wind Ensemble students will be meeting at Forest Creek on
the morning of Friday, December 4 at 8:00 a.m.
--They will need their instruments at this time. From here they
will be bussed to their next tour stop.
--Each students wishing to eat lunch while on tour will need to
bring $7 cash to Mr. McCrury ASAP! All participating students will be eating
lunch at Gattiland!
--Parent Volunteers are needed! We need a set-up crew to set up
chairs and stands for us at each site, as well as volunteers with large
vehicles to haul our stands and instruments for us! If you can help, please
contact a band director!
FESTIVAL TRIP TO HOUSTON/GALVESTON
--The next payment is due December 11!
--The amount due is $40.
--You may pay the $40 by that date, or you may chose to pay in full at any
time, as long as we have at least the minimum $40 by December 11.
