My name is Kim Hagedorn and I am in my fourth year as a teacher. I had
worked in the health insurance industry for a long time when I decided to
embark on a second career. Careful consideration of career choices led me to
choose to become an elementary school teacher. A decision which has
enriched my life.
I have been married for 18 years, and I have three wonderful daughters.
Our daughters have attended Pflugerville schools for the past nine years.
My positive experiences with PISD as a parent led me to seek a teaching job
with River Oaks. My daughters are currently in the seventh, ninth, and
eleventh grades.
Besides teaching, I also enjoy reading, gardening, writing, sewing,
knitting, and swimming. I believe learning is a lifelong process and I try
to impart this to my students.
Students will find a positive and nurturing environment upon entering
the classroom every morning. Every student will be given the opportunity to
learn to the best of his or her ability.
